Building an Open-Source Ecosystem Together: MCT Joins the Li Auto HorizonOS Steering Committee

On September 16, 2025, as one of the inaugural ecosystem partners of Li Auto HorizonOS, MCT was invited to attend the “First HorizonOS Steering Committee Meeting” held in Beijing. At the event, MCT and HorizonOS formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The two parties will engage in deep collaboration on the standardized delivery of attitude sensing and absolute positioning capabilities, jointly advancing the ecosystem integration and open-source implementation of Li Auto HorizonOS.

The establishment of this Steering Committee marks a new phase of collaborative development for the HorizonOS open-source ecosystem. The meeting brought together representative companies from key domains including vehicle OEMs, chips, operating systems, toolchains, and perception & positioning. Four critical topics were discussed: community ecosystem development and benchmark mass-production projects, open-source OS and AI technology roadmaps, functional safety framework development, and mass-production delivery capabilities. Preliminary consensus was reached across all four areas. The committee formally adopted the HorizonOS Steering Committee Charter, defining the organizational structure and working mechanisms, and launched key technical working groups along with long-term technology roadmap initiatives.

MCT Advances Standardization of the Location SDK
As the sole partner on the HorizonOS platform responsible for building attitude sensing and absolute positioning capabilities, MCT leverages its full-stack hardware and software expertise to lead the standardization of the Location SDK module. The following core capabilities have been deeply integrated:
- MOJANDA Automotive-Grade GNSS Chip Module
- SUMACO Automotive-Grade IMU Module
- REVENTADOR Integrated Navigation Algorithm Platform
These capabilities have been validated on the HorizonOS platform and are now fully available to ecosystem developers as standardized, plug-and-play modules with a unified packaging interface.
MCT Delivers an “Integrable, Verifiable, and Deployable” Sensing Capability Framework
Built on automotive-grade GNSS chips, IMU modules, and multi-source fusion algorithms, MCT provides an “integrable, verifiable, and deployable” attitude sensing and absolute positioning solution. This empowers OEMs and ecosystem partners to build highly reliable perception systems, delivering three core value propositions:
- Rapid Integration | 40% Reduction in Integration Cost
The modular SDK and Demo toolchain are plug-and-play, simplifying complexity and accelerating onboarding — helping solution providers and OEMs reduce integration costs by 40%.
- Streamlined Mass Production | 50% Improvement in Testing Efficiency
With native OEM adaptation, simulation linkage, and automated road testing support, testing efficiency is improved by up to 50% — enabling faster validation and more stable vehicle integration.
- Standardized Output | Vehicle Adaptation Cycle Reduced to 1 Month
An integrated “develop–test–deploy” workflow compresses the vehicle adaptation cycle from 3 months down to 1 month, accelerating the path from prototype to mass production.
MCT Advances “Gray-Box Open Source” and Toolchain Adaptation
MCT is collaboratively advancing capability standardization and ecosystem interface openness, building a scalable ecosystem infrastructure around three goals: usable, tunable, and controllable.
- Open Capabilities: INS Algorithm “Gray-Box” Release
The REVENTADOR integrated navigation algorithm encapsulates its core capabilities in library form with open interface documentation, balancing security with adaptation flexibility.
- Expanded Capabilities: GNSS Gray-Box Adaptation Coming Soon
Targeting diverse spatial intelligence devices, MCT will progressively open the MOJANDA GNSS capability module in gray-box form across multiple phases, enhancing multi-platform adaptation.
- Toolchain Support: Three Platforms Fully Adapted to HorizonOS Standards
- Ambae Development Kit: Supports low-level algorithm embedded development
- Dempo Algorithm Tuning Platform: Enables parameter debugging and performance analysis
- Yasur Simulation Platform: Supports multi-scenario simulation testing and closed-loop verification

Looking Ahead: Building the Infrastructure for the “Spatial Intelligence + AI” Era
Going forward, MCT will continue to deepen its collaboration with the HorizonOS platform in the areas of attitude sensing and absolute positioning, advancing the deployment of more reliable, standardized, and efficient spatial intelligence modules across diverse application scenarios — grounded in automotive-grade hardware and software fusion capabilities. As a company dedicated to attitude sensing and absolute positioning innovation for the Physical AI era, MCT will work alongside HorizonOS ecosystem partners to build an open, collaborative, and continuously evolving intelligent ecosystem.
