MCT Partners with Jiangsu University of Technology to Establish Joint Collaborative Innovation Institute

On April 21, the “Wujin Hi-Tech Zone – Jiangsu University of Technology Collaborative Innovation Development Conference” was held. At the event, MCT and Jiangsu University of Technology formally established a partnership to co-found the “Spatial Intelligence Chip & Intelligent Navigation Collaborative Innovation Institute,” while simultaneously launching a dual-appointment faculty exchange program and joint research projects. This marks an important milestone in MCT’s ongoing push to build a industry-academia-research collaborative ecosystem.

Deepening Collaboration Around Industry-Driven Priorities

Across application domains such as embodied intelligence, low-altitude economy, robotics, and smart devices, attitude sensing, absolute positioning, and multi-sensor fusion capabilities are increasingly becoming foundational enablers for system perception, decision-making, and control. MCT has maintained a long-term strategic focus on building attitude sensing and absolute positioning capabilities for the Physical AI era. The co-establishment of this institute with Jiangsu University of Technology represents a pragmatic step forward, aligned with the company’s core technology direction and development roadmap.

Jiangsu University of Technology has long been committed to an industry-oriented, locally integrated, and application-driven academic mission. Leveraging its “dual-high synergy” framework, the university has steadily advanced the integrated development of education, technology, and talent, establishing a collaboration model centered on “one park, one college; one enterprise, one professor.” In the area of embodied intelligence and related fields, the university has built a solid foundation of cooperation with Wujin Hi-Tech Zone, advancing multiple joint initiatives and accumulating practical experience in dual-appointment programs and technology transfer.

Using the Institute as a Platform to Drive Industry-Academia-Research Synergy

Building on this foundation, the partnership between MCT and Jiangsu University of Technology is structured around a three-pillar model: joint institute establishment, dual-appointment faculty exchange, and co-developed research projects. The institute serves as the central platform, with the faculty exchange and joint projects as key ongoing initiatives. In the near term, both parties will focus collaboration on embodied intelligence-related projects, accelerating the integration of technology, talent, and project resources. This signals a shift for MCT’s industry-academia-research platform — from point-to-point collaboration toward a more sustained and structured cooperative mechanism.

Aggregating Innovation Resources Through Regional Collaboration

The conference also encompassed the signing of collaborative innovation institute agreements, the launch of joint key technology research programs, the appointment of senior-level talent, and the signing of a “dual-high synergy” strategic cooperation framework — all reflecting Wujin Hi-Tech Zone’s continued commitment to fostering university-government-enterprise innovation and optimizing the allocation of regional innovation resources. For MCT, this collaborative environment offers more efficient access to university research expertise, talent pipelines, and local innovation assets, while providing a more stable foundation for future project execution and joint advancement.

Looking ahead, MCT will leverage the “Spatial Intelligence Chip & Intelligent Navigation Collaborative Innovation Institute” as its core platform to deepen collaboration with Jiangsu University of Technology — steadily advancing the dual-appointment program and joint project initiatives, accelerating the convergence and deployment of technology, talent, and project resources, and continuously strengthening the foundation of its industry-academia-research collaborative platform. This partnership opens new possibilities for technology co-development, project commercialization, and long-term capability building.
